Stuti Jaiswal

Dr. Stuti Jaiswal is a physician scientist and co-director, education at Scripps Research Translational Institute in San Diego, California. She splits her time between research work, clinical care, and education activities. Dr. Jaiswal obtained her PhD in neuroscience from the University of Arizona, where she studied the neuronal circuitry underlying central breathing control. She joined Scripps in 2013 as an Internal Medicine resident on the ABIM research track pathway, through which she joined the group of KL2 scholars at SRTI in 2015. During her KL2 time, she received extensive mentorship in sleep and clinical research studies at UCSD. Dr. Jaiswal joined as clinical faculty with Scripps Clinic Medical Group in 2017, and continues to work as a hospitalist. Her research work was largely founded on inpatient sleep and delirium, and has grown to include population-level sleep and circadian rhythms using digital devices. Most recently, she was awarded a grant to investigate how sleep impacts neurocognitive outcomes in women, and she continues to work towards growing her research funding portfolio. In addition to research, Dr. Jaiswal is dedicated to helping further trainee education in research and evidence-based practice. She serves as Associate Program Director for Research Education with the Scripps Clinic/Scripps Green Internal Medicine Residency Program, Chairs the GME Research Committee for Scripps Clinic Medical Group, and is assisting Dr. Laura Nicholson as Associate Director of Education at SRTI.
