Paola Antonelli: ‘Design Is More Than Cute Chairs’

During her 20 years at the Museum of Modern Art, senior design curator Paola Antonelli has expanded the museum’s collection far beyond “cute chairs,” embracing all aspects of digital culture. Some of her recent acquisitions include digital typefaces, video games, computer interfaces, and even the @ symbol. She joins Ira to show off five of MoMA’s latest additions, including a micro-controller and DIY maker kit. Plus, take a tour of the video games in the museum’s collection in the video below.
