You Are ‘When’ You Eat

The saying goes “You are what you eat,” but two studies published in Cell Metabolism report that when you eat can play an important part in regulating your metabolism. Gastroenterologist Amir Zarrinpar and colleagues found that eating within an 8–12-hour window and daily fluctuations in the microbiome could play a role in obesity and type 2 diabetes in mice.
