Nanette Santoro

Dr. Nanette Santoro is the E Stewart Taylor Past Chair of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She has been continuously funded by the NIH since 1988 for research in female reproduction. Her work has covered the processes of the pubertal and menopausal transition, as well as clinical trials in reproduction and menopause. She has headed studies of women with premature and age-appropriate menopause such as the Women’s Health Initiative and the Kronos Early Estrogen Prevention Study (KEEPS) and the Study of Womens Health Across the Nation. She is past Steering Committee Chair of the NICHD funded Reproductive Medicine Network of clinical trials in infertility and reproduction. She is Past President of the Society for Reproductive Investigation (2022) and President of the Endocrine Society (2026-2027). In 2018, Dr. Santoro was elected to the National Academy of Medicine.
