Dr. Philip Matthews is an associate professor at the University of British-Columbia. His lab primarily studies the respiratory adaptations of insects. In particular, his research program is focused on exploring and understanding the gas exchange strategies used by aquatic insects and the gas exchange patterns displayed by terrestrial insects.
