This October, the SciFri Book Club is reading What If We Get It Right? Visions of Climate Futures by Ayana Elizabeth Johnson. Although our planet faces major threats, our future hasn’t happened yet. In What If We Get It Right?, Johnson invites readers to imagine climate solutions and possibilities at the nexus of science, policy, culture, and justice. This provocative and joyous book maps an inspiring landscape of possible climate futures.
What If We Get It Right? brings together a range of topics, including climate change, activism, environmentalism, urban planning, sustainable farming, and more—and we’ll touch on these ideas throughout this Book Club season. You can get your copy from your local bookstore or on Bookshop.org.
This Book Club season kicks off Tuesday, October 1, and you can read along with us! We’ll be (loosely) following this schedule, but all our readers are welcome to join us at their own pace:
