Meet the crew of the E/V Nautilus as they explore the ocean floor live! Attendees can ask the scientists and engineers questions and learn more about life onboard the ship.

Science Friday and Ocean Exploration Trust are hosting this ship-to-shore interaction with the scientists, engineers, and crew of the Nautilus Exploration Program. The Nautilus is visiting Ocean Networks Canada’s (ONC) wired seafloor observatory off the west coast of British Columbia and the Endeavour hydrothermal vent field as the team uses ROVs (remotely operated vehicles) to maintain sensors that monitor tectonic plate activity and to assist in biological and geological sampling.

This event is free and open to all ages! It’s perfect for families.
